Photographs taken during the Lunar Eclipse on 28th August 2007.
During the Lunar Eclipse of 2007, the moon passed trhough the shadow of the earth. Some sunlight passes around the edge of the earth and still manages to illuminate the moon. Because the light has passed through the atmosphere, it is red in colour (like a sunset). This is a photograph of the moon at the height of the eclipse. From the city it was very faint (and sometimes obscured by clouds). When my camera took long exposures, the red colour became very apparent.
